Who we are
Noemation ("we", "us") makes the mobile game Bubblenaut and runs this website, noemation.com. This policy explains what information is handled when you play Bubblenaut or visit the site, who handles it, and the choices you have.
Where data protection law asks for a "controller", that is us for anything described in sections 3, 5 and 10; GameAnalytics handles the play statistics in section 5 on our behalf. Google is the controller for the advertising data described in section 4, and the app stores for the purchases in section 6.
Questions or requests: contact@noemation.com.
What Bubblenaut doesn't do
- No account, sign-in, username or password.
- No servers of ours. The only record of how you play that leaves your phone is the play statistics in section 5, and only if you agree to them.
- No tracking software of our own. The third-party software in the game is Google's advertising SDK, GameAnalytics (only if you agree) and the app store's billing.
- No access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or precise location.
- No chat, messaging or social features.
What stays on your device
Bubblenaut saves a few things in its own private storage on your phone so it can remember where you are. This data never leaves the device through anything we control, and it's removed when you uninstall the game or clear its data in your phone's settings.
Bubblenaut
Your stars and best tap counts per level, the bosses you've beaten, your best climbs, your forecast results and streak, your field guide and the looks it has unlocked, what you've bought, and your settings: sound, menu look and your privacy choices.
If your phone backs up app data to your Google or Apple account, that backup is governed by your phone's backup settings and the provider's privacy policy, not by us.
Advertising
Bubblenaut is free and shows ads through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). There are two kinds:
- Full-screen ads between plays. Bubblenaut may show one when you leave a long climb, never in the puzzle levels, and never once you've bought Remove Ads or Premium Air.
- Rewarded ads. These play only when you tap a button offering one, to carry on after popping. With Premium Air that is free, with no ad.
What Google's ad software collects
To request and show ads, the SDK sends data to Google. According to Google's published disclosures for the Google Mobile Ads SDK, this includes:
- on Android, your device's advertising ID (on iPhone, Bubblenaut doesn't ask to track you, so Apple's advertising identifier isn't available to it);
- your IP address and the approximate location it implies;
- device and app information such as model, operating system version, language, screen size and the app's version;
- how you interact with ads (whether an ad was shown, tapped or closed) and diagnostic information about ad requests.
Google uses this to serve ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure whether ads were seen, detect fraud, and, where you have allowed it, personalise the ads you see. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and explains how it uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We don't receive any of it. We only see overall reports, such as how many ads were shown.
Ad settings we apply
- Bubblenaut requests ads rated G (general audiences).
- The game is not marked as directed at children (see section 9).
Your controls
- In the game: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before ads are personalised, and Your privacy choices in Options changes your answer. In US states with a consumer privacy law, such as California, the same button opts you out of the sale or sharing of your information for personalised ads. Everywhere else, Options has a Personalised ads switch: turn it off and the ads you see are no longer based on your activity in other apps and websites.
- On Android: Settings → Google → Ads lets you delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation.
- On iPhone: Bubblenaut doesn't ask to track you, so it never gets Apple's advertising identifier. Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking controls this for all your apps.
- Google's tools: myadcenter.google.com shows and controls how Google personalises ads for you.
Play statistics
The first time the game opens, it asks whether it may send play statistics to GameAnalytics. Nothing is sent before you tap Share, and you can change your answer at any time with Share play data in Options.
If you agree, the game sends which levels you play and whether you finish them, how high your climbs go and what ended them, which ads were shown, what you bought, and how smoothly the game runs on your phone, including any errors it hits. With these go your device's model and operating system version, and an ID for the game on your device: on Android a random one made for the game, on iPhone Apple's identifier for apps from the same developer. They don't include your name or your advertising ID.
We use them to see what players enjoy, where they get stuck and what goes wrong, so we can make the game better. GameAnalytics handles them on our behalf and doesn't sell them; how it does so is described in GameAnalytics' privacy notice.
Purchases
Bubblenaut offers two optional one-time purchases, Remove Ads and Premium Air. They're bought through the store's own checkout: Google Play Billing on Android, or Apple's App Store on iPhone. The store handles your payment and never shares your payment details with us. It only tells the game what you own, so it can unlock it, and lets you restore it on another phone signed in to the same account.
Permissions
On Android, Bubblenaut declares only these permissions:
- Internet and network state, to load ads and, if you agree, send play statistics.
- Billing (
com.android.vending.BILLING), for purchases through Google Play. - Advertising ID (
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID), which Google's ad software requires on Android 13 and later.
It doesn't ask for storage, location, camera, microphone, contacts or notification permissions.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising ourselves. Under some US state laws, Google's advertising use of the data above may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising; section 11 explains how to opt out.
Children
Bubblenaut is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age your country sets for consenting to data processing). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and we ask Google to limit the ads it shows as described in section 4. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it. Parents can control ad personalisation and purchases on a child's device through Google Family Link or Apple Screen Time.
This website
noemation.com is a static website. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking. Everything it shows, including its fonts and images, is served from the site itself, so nothing is loaded from third parties.
Like almost any web server, the one hosting this site may keep standard access logs: your IP address, your browser, the page you asked for and the time. They are used only to keep the site running and secure. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply to you.
Your choices and rights
Because Bubblenaut keeps almost everything on your own device, you can exercise most rights directly:
- See your data: everything the game stores is in its app data on your device.
- Delete your data: clear the app's data in your phone's settings, or uninstall the game.
- Advertising data held by Google: use the controls in section 4 and Google's own tools.
- Play statistics: turn off Share play data in Options to stop them. To ask about statistics already sent, write to us.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
Where we process anything about you (sections 3 and 10), the legal basis is providing the game or website you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in keeping them working and secure (Article 6(1)(f)). Play statistics (section 5) rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in Options. Where the law requires consent for personalised advertising, Google shows personalised ads only when that consent has been given; otherwise it shows non-personalised or limited ads, which rely on the legitimate interest in funding free games. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your data protection authority.
California and other US states
You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell personal information. To opt out of the sharing of advertising data for cross-context behavioural advertising, use Your privacy choices in the game's Options, or the ad controls on your device described in section 4. You can also send requests to contact@noemation.com.
Everywhere else
If your country's law gives you rights over your personal information, you can use them the same way. We answer requests within 30 days.
Retention and security
Data on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the game. Google keeps advertising data, and GameAnalytics play statistics, for the periods set out in their own privacy notices. Bubblenaut has no accounts to break into, so the main protection for your saved progress is your phone's own security. Keeping your phone's software up to date helps.
International transfers
Google operates worldwide and may process the data in section 4 in the United States and other countries. For people in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google relies on the safeguards described in its privacy policy, including standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. GameAnalytics may also process play statistics outside your country; its privacy notice describes how it protects them. We don't transfer your data ourselves.
Changes to this policy
If Bubblenaut starts handling data differently, for example by adding accounts or online features, or if we release a new game, we'll update this policy and change the effective date at the top. We'll also mention significant changes in the store listing or in the game.
